Q: bupropion??
how much bupropion will affect me weight
???
its for adhd ..
A: i know you take 100mg of bupropion (i aint phsychic) but maybe around 200-300mg a day and might give signs of anorexia if overdose is long-termT_T
But since you are taking the correct requirements, don't worry about anything as it won't give any side effects as long as you watch your taking of Bupropion^_^
Bupropion won't help for weight loss for a girl like you^_^
Q: When taking bupropion, can you miss a day without taking it to drink alcohol an not be harmed?
Ok, so I'm taking bupropion. I know that you can't drink alcohol while taking it. I was wondering if I didn't take it one day an I drink that night will it still harm me?
A: I really wouldn't skip a day of the Bupropion, I would keep taking it.
You didn't mention how much you plan to drink, but don't drink too much (don't pass out). Alcohol is a depressant, and negates the effects of any antidepressant you're taking.
I have a few drinks now and then, but not on a regular basis.

Q: what will happen if i take bupropion hydrochloride and i have an eating disorder?

A: i agree. you should call a doctor. and if u want to remain private and not have them know you maybe you could try a toll free help line? or even call the number for that particular drug and just ask of curiosity
Q: What can I expect from taking bupropion?
My doctor just put me on bupropion for depression. I am just wondering what anyone else has to say about it. I have heard good things and bad things about it. I want some opinions. Does it work? And how well.
A: Bupropion is the generic name for Wellbutrin.
I've been taking it for about 8 years now. I'm bipolar, very heavy on the depression and have to take a combination of medication to keep it under control. I've been on 19 different meds and out of those, Wellbutrin is one of the ones that has worked the most with the least side effects for me. It's definitely the best antidepressant I've been on (because of lack of side effects).
When I first went on it, I lost my appetite for a while and had to remind myself to eat. But that didn't last long. The only other time I had any problem with it was when I went from my normal 300 to 450 mg, which gave me hot flashes. On 300 I have no side effects. The first couple of years it was like a miracle, it was so effective. Sometimes over time there meds don't work as well. So I have had a second antidepressant added to the mix at times in order to more fully control the depression. It works differently than the other antidepressants because it works on a different neurotransmitter (dopamine.) Some of the big benefits of it are it has a very low risk of weight gain or sexual side effects, which are extremely common with other antidepressants. I've been on Wellbutrin longer than any other medication..although all of the other meds in my "cocktail" have changed over the years...I stick with this because it works.
My son recently started on it with excellent results at 150 mg. We tried 300 but then he started having side effects that made it clear the dose was too high for him, so back down to 150.
We both are on the XL (once a day) version, but I used to be on SR (twice a day).
Q: Has anyone taken bupropion and chantix at the same time?
I've been taking bupropion for 2 months and today my doctor prescribed chantix as well. Has anyone else taken both at the same time? If so, please tell me details, how you felt, if you recommend it. Thanks in advance.
A: Follow your doctors advice with Chantix. For more Chantix information, click the following link: http://www.121doc.com/champix.html?a_aid=fbb92383
Q: does bupropion have any affect on the metabolism of methadone?
I know some meds speed up or slow down metaboism of other drugs due to CYP 450 enzymes. I haven't found a website that explains what bupropion does to methadone in the body. any insight into this will be great, thanx.

Q: Does it matter what time you take your dose of Bupropion?
It's been a week since I started Bupropion SR. During the first week I felt nothing. It sometimes takes awhile for it to fully work, but I was taking it at different times of the day? Some days I took it at 6am and other days I would take it around 10 or 11. Should I take my dose the same time everyday or can it be stagnant?
A: It is recommended that if you are taking it twice a day (150mg) you should allow at least 8 hours between doses. I guess that would mean keep it to at least 16 hours between doses if you are taking it once a day. See:

Q: what can happen if i stop taking my bupropion xl?
I want to stop taking my bupropion what could happen?
A: Over a period of unquantified time you may revert back to the state that required you to take it in the first place.
Also it will not affect your everyday chances of survival, your odds of getting hit by runaway train will remain exactly the same. The odds of you winning the lottery may decrease tho' coz you'll be so panicked by the runaway train thing that you won't buy a lottery ticket.
Talk to your Doctor if you really need to know.
Don't say I'm being cruel, what on earth are YOU thinking of. I know it's difficult, but why make things harder for yourself than they need to be?. You think I'm insensitive, ask your loved ones what they think of your question.
Q: Is there a difference in generic wellbutrin xl (bupropion) and the name brand Wellbutrin XL?
My doctor prescribed Wellbutrin XL, but my insurance only covers the generic, Bupropion XL. Is there any huge difference I should know about? I have read reviews from others who are not happy with the generic, but I wanted to know if it is a personal preference on there part or if there is actually a "chemical" difference.
A: When a drug is created there are 2 names associated with it, the brand name that the company dedices on, in this case Wellbutrin, and the active ingredient, in this case Bupropion. When the drug patent is expired, generic drug cpmpanies are then able to produce the generic, which will always be called the second name, in this case Bupropion. This name is the active ingredient that makes up the medication. The only difference between the brand and the generic is the fillers that certain generic drug companies may use. The brand name is higher in cost and insurence companies will always want you to use the generic, sometimes even after your DR specifies he wants you on brand.
I work at a pharmacy and I always take the generic when available. The active ingredient is the same as I mentioned before. The only 2 medications I am weary of brand and generic is Coumadin (blood thinner) and Synthroid( thyroid medicine) I would not change from brand to generic and vice versa unless the DR knows.
Hope this helps!
Q: How long does bupropion take to get out of your system for a drug test?
I would just like to know. It is 150 mg but I may want to take more than one. Are there any good side effects too?
A: bupropion half life is 20 hours the formula for drug elimination is (T^1/2) so it would be 20 hours for half the dose to leave your system and another 20 for half of the remaining dose and another 20 for half that remaining dose so one and so forth...calculate it yourself.
Q: What is the difference between Bupropion and Budeprion?
Or is it the same thing? (Wellbutrin XL)
If so, why are there two generic names for it?
I ask because previously I had been on 300mg bupropion and my doctor upped the dose by 150mg and when I went to the pharmacy to pick it up they gave me 150mg budeprion. I just want to make sure I'm taking the same thing...
A: I work as a pharmacy technician at CVS.
Bupropion is actually Wellbutrin and Budeprion is Wellbutrin XL or SR.
Wellbutrin (not SR or XL) has been available as generic for awhile now, and it's called Bupropion. The SR and XL are both call Budeprion and the XL only just became available as a generic. The SR, sustained release is usually dosed twice a day and the XL is usually only once a day. The regular Wellbutrin I've seen dosed so many ways.
It is the same drug, both are Wellbutrin. The difference I know of is that Bupropion also goes as the brand name Zyban which has an indication to help someone quit smoking.
Hope that helps!
Q: What are the side effects with Bupropion (Wellbutrin)?
I am having extreme confusion, inside of my body jitters and jaw clenching. Has anyone else had any of these side effects with Bupropion?
A: Call your doctor to ask him. This is not the correct forum to ask such a question as you will get opinion not always fact. See the side effects page on your medication. Call the pharmacist and ask them.
Q: what is Bupropion do for you? does it really stop you from smoking?
hey i went to my doctor and he gave me a meds call Bupropion for the smoking. i just had a new born baby and i want to quit, he also said it was for the baby blues i had. i had it over 2 months now, plus my husband left to go to the army basic, so that even harder to quit. so i want to know if this stuff really works, should i go buy the patch?
A: Yes bupropion is the same medicine as Zyban which is marketed for non smoking. It doesn't automatically make you a non smoker. It is suggested that you have a support group of family and friends who will also help when you have cravings. Cravings for smoking do come , however the bupropion makes it easier to deal with the cravings, the anti depressant helps in that way as it calms some of the anxieties that come with smoking cessation. YOU still have to do the work of not picking up the cigarette but it is a big help. My sister had to quit immediately after a heart attack so the Dr put her on the patch also , but that is still nicotine going into your body so the dr may not want you to pass the nicotine on to your baby if nursing. It is hard to quit but if you slip up just start your program again right away. Sometimes it takes many times, but it can be done. My sis has been smoke free for 8 yrs. Best of Luck to you and don't give up !
Q: How does wellbutrin (bupropion) compare to ephedrine, caffeine, etc?
It seems there are a variety of stimulants that boost dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine. Though I realize it is unlikely to find an answer here... does anyone have any hard numbers comparing these drugs?
A: I have taken all 3 and can honestly tell you wellbuterin does not have any effect like ephedrine and caffiene. Whats really funny is that i have taken all 3 at the same time...
Q: How long did it take for bupropion sr to start working?
I started taking wellbutrin sr (bupropion sr) to heighten my sex drive. How long does it take for it to start working? How long does it take for the side affects to wear off (agitation, nausea...etc)?
A: Most anti-depressants actually decrease your sex drive, so I'm surprised you would take one to increase it. But then well-butrin is different than other anti-depressants so I guess it's possible it can have the opposite affect. You should start feeling a difference after 2 or 3 weeks, although it could be up to 6 weeks. Good Luck.
